A manufacturer of plating tanks was trying to identify a plastic sheet material that would be compatible with some extremely corrosive chemicals at elevated temperatures.
They had tried a number of different polymers, each of which quickly showed degradation and environmental stress cracking.
The tank designer contacted Curbell’s technical team to discuss the application. They worked together to identify a fluoropolymer sheet material that performed well with the chemicals and was easy to fabricate using thermoplastic welding equipment.
