Poor Ink Adhesion on Polyethylene Causes Printer Issues
Curbell supplied a different polyethylene material suitable for their inks which improved quality
A screen printer who manufactures industrial signs was having rejects due to poor ink adhesion on a polystyrene substrate.
The problem was more severe when they were printing on stock that had been in their warehouse for a few months. The shop manager contacted a Curbell salesperson to discuss the issue.
Substrate with Good Ink Adhesion
Curbell was able to supply the printer with high impact polystyrene that had the right formulation and the correct surface energy to insure good ink adhesion.
