A manufacturer of assembly fixtures was having problems fabricating the thick acetal sheet that they were using for baseplates. The baseplates had to be machined flat prior to being drilled with round and slotted holes. The initial flattening process was extremely labor-intensive and this was causing bottlenecks in the factory.
Supplied Acetal Meets Tight Tolerance Requirements
Curbell was able to provide the manufacturer with acetal sheet material that had smooth planed surfaces that met their tight thickness tolerance requirements.
This greatly reduced the manufacturer’s labor costs to make the baseplates and it eliminated the bottlenecks in production.
