Polycarbonate Properties

Physical, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and optical properties of polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a tough, transparent plastic material with outstanding strength, stiffness, and is impact resistant even at low temperatures. Polycarbonate sheet, rod, and tube are easy to machine and have excellent dimensional stability. It thermoforms well, is easy to paint, and bonds well using solvent cements or adhesives.

Many grades of polycarbonate are available such as general purpose, sign grade, machine grade, glass-filled, and FDA compliant. Please ask your Curbell Plastics representative for more information about a specific grade.
