Orthotics and Prosthetics
Rigid plastics, flexible EVAs, and foams used for orthotics and prosthetics
Rigid plastic sheet materials including HDPE, polypropylene, and KYDEX® Thermoplastic Sheet have a range of mechanical properties from soft to stiff. This allows clinicians to select plastics materials that optimize structural support and patient comfort. Flexible EVA copolymers such as OP-TEK® Flex are used as socket liners. EVAs are available with internal lubricants that reduce friction.
In addition to plastic sheet, Curbell offers a wide assortment of transfer patterns to apply decorative graphics to orthotics.
KYDEX® Thermoplastic Sheet
