Meet Joe

Joe Brozik, Senior Outside Sales Representative for Curbell Plastics in Chicago, has nearly 30 years of experience in industrial materials sales, distribution, and purchasing, with a focus on part fabrication and providing a wide range of value-added services.

Ask Joe what drew him into the world of performance plastics, and the answer is simple: selling metals for more than a quarter century.

“After 26 years in the metals industry working with design, engineering, and purchasing functions, I realized plastic material and its benefits was relatively unknown as compared to its counterpart,” Joe says. “It is my personal goal to make those I work with feel more comfortable with plastic and to help them utilize it in new areas.”

He is now proud to bring the advantages of plastic materials as lightweight, cost-efficient metal alternatives to his industrial, manufacturing, engineering, and visual merchandising clientele. He draws upon his extensive knowledge of plastic materials such as UHMW, acrylic, polycarbonate, and high-performance plastics — plus decades of experience with CNC machining, cutting, forming, and part fabrication — to help customers choose the best material and manufacturing process to meet their unique needs.

Joe is a proud father, an avid fisherman, and a lifelong fan of the Chicago Bears and Blackhawks.

A Partner in Your Success

Joe has partnered with countless customers to help them achieve greater value by substituting a plastic material for metal.

For example: A food processing equipment manufacturer was having little success in transitioning from a metal component to plastic. Food processing machine builders had been leaning in that direction because of the chemical resistance and lighter weight of plastic, but the manufacturing process and material selection at the time had the company close to abandoning it. With a change of material and machining service offered by Joe and Curbell Plastics, the company rediscovered the advantage of performance plastics, and now relies on plastics more and more each year.
