High Impact Polystyrene Properties

Physical, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and optical properties of high impact polystyrene

High Impact Polystyrene (HIS) sheet is a tough, low cost, easy to thermoform, fabricate, and machine plastic material. It has high impact strength and is easy to glue, paint, and print. Typical uses for HIS are POP displays, indoor signs, and check sockets for orthotics and prosthetics.

High Impact Polystyrene is available in a variety of grades including FDA compliant and Orfitrans™ Stiff for orthotics and prosthetics. Please ask your Curbell Plastics representative for more specific information about an individual brand.
