Meet Nathan

Nathan Roberts is an Inside Sales Representative for the Virginia location dedicated to acting in the best interest of the customer. He is committed to building strong relationships and establishing Curbell as a trusted partner. In his role, Nathan supports customers by helping them identify materials best suited for their specific applications and by providing responsive, reliable service throughout the quoting and ordering process.

Nathan finds the plastics industry uniquely rewarding. “There is so much more to it than I ever imagined when it comes to all the different types plastics, applications, and the technical side of it. What I find to be most rewarding though, is being tasked with these challenging applications and being able to find a solution to where it works not only for the immediate situation, but for the long term.”

His path to this role began in 2024, when he joined Curbell Plastics as part of the PSP (Plastic Sales Professional) Program in Pittsburgh, PA, and later relocated to Virginia to begin his career in outside sales. Nathan enjoys talking to people, getting to know them and where they came from to build lasting relationships. “It has taught me to never be scared to be curious, always be open to change, and to always find ways to continue to improve.”

Prior to Curbell, Nathan gained hands-on experience in the powdered metal industry and manufacturing plants. This experience laid a foundation to help him understand these processes. He also had the opportunity to work on an international consulting project with a plastics company in Switzerland and was part of a team that put together a strategy to help them successfully penetrate the American market.

Nathan spent time working in event operations and helped run events for the PGA Tour, University of Pittsburgh, West Virginia University, and the Buffalo Bills. This experience really helped him build his communication skills, time management, and learned that it takes a team if you want to be successful! Together, these experiences allow Nathan to better understand his customers’ challenges, communicate effectively, and deliver solutions that support their success.

Outside of work, Nathan enjoys being outdoors fishing, golfing, camping, and, now that he’s in Virginia, he’s starting to do more hiking. Nathan bleeds black and gold, always rooting for the Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers. Music is another interest of his. He taught himself to play the piano after picking up a keyboard one day and never looked back. He’s also passionate about baseball, a game he’s been around his entire life, including the opportunity to play a bit in college. He always tries to be around the game in some shape or form.
