Meet David

David Huttig is Outside Sales Manager for the Curbell Plastics Colorado location.  With over 30 years of experience in the plastics industry, he supports customers with material selection, process optimization, troubleshooting, and developing practical solutions for complex challenges. David’s goal is to ensure every customer finds the right materials for their applications and achieves their objectives.

A Partner in Your Success

David’s extensive background in plastics manufacturing gives him a practical understanding of how materials perform in various applications. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with engineers and manufacturers to select materials that meet demanding performance requirements while supporting efficient fabrication and long-term reliability.

In one example, David worked with an aerospace customer that needed a formable plastic material for heating and air-conditioning components used in a helicopter. The application required strict performance criteria, including continuous high- and low-temperature capability, chemical resistance, load-bearing strength at elevated temperatures, and compliance with specific fire rating standards.

By working closely with Curbell Plastics material specialists, David helped evaluate the performance requirements and identify a plastic sheet material that met the customer’s thermal, structural, and safety needs while also supporting efficient forming and fabrication. The result was a dependable solution that helped the customer move forward with confidence in their design and manufacturing process. With access to Curbell’s broad inventory of high-performance plastic materials and technical expertise, David helps customers quickly identify and source the right solution for demanding applications.

Today, David brings that same practical, application-focused perspective to his role at Curbell, helping customers across multiple industries select the right plastic sheet, rod, and tube materials for their applications.

David says, “More products should be made from plastics.” Having spent the majority of his career in the plastics industry, he has a deep appreciation for the value plastics bring to both manufacturers and end users. The industry has supported him and his family for many years, and he enjoys the technical challenges, long-standing relationships, and strong partnerships.

Outside of work, David enjoys golf, travel, church, cooking, and is a Colorado native.
