Glazing

Plastic glazing sheets for architectural and protective applications

Plastic glazing sheets are used in architectural, commercial, institutional, and protective applications where transparency, impact resistance, weatherability, weight, or security performance matters. Acrylic and polycarbonate are common glazing materials for windows, skylights, canopies, partitions, barriers, displays, and other clear sheet applications.

Acrylic sheet is often used where optical clarity, stiffness, and weather resistance are important. Polycarbonate sheet is often used where higher impact resistance or protective glazing performance is needed. Sheet materials can be used alone or incorporated into laminated structures for security glazing, and SentryGlas® ionoplast interlayer can be laminated between sheets of glass for windows, glass stairs, railings, and other structural glazing applications.

Use this page to compare plastic glazing materials and review options for optical clarity, impact resistance, UV and weather exposure, sheet thickness, fabrication, and project requirements. Review the plastic properties table, ask a plastics expert, or get a quote to discuss material availability, sizing, documentation, or fabrication needs.

Curbell Plastics can help you:

  • Compare acrylic, polycarbonate, polycarbonate film, and interlayer materials for glazing applications.
  • Evaluate material options for windows, skylights, canopies, partitions, barriers, displays, security glazing, and protective glazing.
  • Review optical clarity, impact resistance, UV and weather exposure, sheet thickness, fabrication, and project requirements before selecting a material.
