Meet Nicole

Nicole Marek is a Technical Services Engineer for Curbell Plastics. When customers face complex technical challenges, Nicole is ready to provide the expertise and resources they need. She collaborates closely with the sales team to address a wide range of customer inquiries. Whether it’s verifying if a material meets specific certifications or diving into advanced research for unique applications, Nicole delivers accurate, reliable solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. If a direct answer isn’t available, she works creatively to suggest practical alternatives—ensuring customers always have a path forward.

A Partner in Your Success

Nicole’s background in polymer material science drives her passion for solving problems in demanding industries. Her work spans critical sectors, including valves, regulators, and seals, hydrogen energy, and machinery and equipment. She finds the plastics industry both challenging and rewarding, especially when tackling extreme conditions like high/low temperatures and harsh chemical exposure. Her role allows her to combine a love of chemistry and materials science with a commitment to addressing real-world issues, with particular interest in sustainability and environmental concerns.

Before joining Curbell, Nicole honed her expertise through hands-on experience in elastomer quality control and quality assurance. During her academic career, she focused on advanced polymer recycling techniques, specifically the chemical recycling of polyolefins. She remains dedicated to professional growth as a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys hiking nature trails, bowling, painting, and music. She also shares her home with a talented (and spoiled) pet potbelly pig who knows a variety of tricks and insists on being tucked in at night.
