LE Linen Phenolic
Electrical grade phenolic sheet material with linen fabric reinforcement
LE linen phenolic sheet is an electrical grade, high strength composite that consists of phenolic resin impregnated into layers of woven linen fabric. LE phenolic is strong and stiff and has excellent creep resistance and outstanding dimensional stability. It is used for a variety of industrial applications including insulators for electromechanical devices, jigs, fixtures, and gears.
LE linen phenolic is NEMA rated for use in electrical insulating applications. Linen phenolic sheet is also available in non-electrical grades including filled formulations that are engineered for superior friction and wear performance.
Tech Tip– Linen phenolic sheet is more expensive than canvas phenolic, but it is made using a finer woven cloth. This allows linen phenolic to be used for machined parts that have small geometric features that might be problematic for canvas phenolic.
