ETFE
Durable fluoropolymer with an outstanding balance of mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties
About ETFE
ETFE (ethylene tetrafluoroethylene) commonly referred to as Tefzel® is a modified copolymer of ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene. It has medium stiffness, which makes it suitable for applications such as chemical tank linings that require weldability and the ability to conform to curved metal or FRP surfaces. ETFE is often used in applications that demand mechanical toughness, moderate stiffness, and outstanding chemical resistance. ETFE DuPont™ Tefzel® is FDA Compliant.
Tech Tip – ETFE is stiffer and has better creep resistance than many softer fluoropolymers such as PTFE or FEP.
Length, width, thickness, and diameter tolerances vary by size, by manufacturer, brand, and grade. Custom sizes available upon request.
