Curbell Plastics Supports Firefighter Challenge Northeast Region Classic

Orchard Park, N.Y., July 29, 2026 – Curbell Plastics, Inc.’s Cleveland location was a proud sponsor of the 2026 Firefighter Challenge Northeast Region Classic, held July 23 – 25 in Akron, Ohio. The event brought together over 200 firefighter athletes from across the Northeast and beyond to compete in a series of job-skill challenges that demonstrate the strength, endurance, and technical expertise required in today’s fire service.

Often recognized as one of the premier firefighter athletic competitions, the Firefighter Challenge simulates the physical demands of emergency response through realistic tasks such as climbing a five-story tower, hoisting equipment, advancing charged hose lines, forcible entry, and rescuing a 165-pound victim, all while competitors wear full turnout gear and self-contained breathing apparatus. The competition celebrates firefighter readiness while helping inspire future generations to pursue careers in the fire service.

“Curbell Plastics is proud to support an event that recognizes the dedication, teamwork, and commitment of firefighters who serve their communities every day,” said Aaron Nix, Business Manager, Cleveland. “The Firefighter Challenge highlights the professionalism and physical preparedness required in the fire service, and we are honored to play a small role in helping make the event possible.”

Supporting community organizations and events such as the Firefighter Challenge reflects Curbell Plastics’ commitment to giving back to the communities where its employees live and work while recognizing the essential contributions of first responders.
