This DuPont™ Vespel® SP-211 Polyimide Rod is a filled polyimide rod used for components that operate under sliding contact without lubrication. The material has a low coefficient of friction over a wide range of operating conditions and exhibits low wear rates up to 300°C (572°F).

  • Friction Comparison: Has a lower coefficient of friction than SP-21 without lubrication.
  • Wear Performance: Has superior unlubricated wear and exhibits low wear rates up to 300°C (572°F).

  • Tensile and Flexural Properties: Has good tensile strength, elongation, and flexural modulus.
