About PFAS-Free* Heat Sealing Tapes & Films
PFAS-free* heat sealing tapes and films provide nonstick release surfaces on heat sealers used in food, medical and industrial packaging. Saint-Gobain® Norgard® options include SGP heat seal release film and SGP5 heat seal tape with silicone adhesive.
These non-fluoropolymer materials resist tears, punctures, abrasion and wear. Their thin construction allows uniform heat transfer during sealing. SGP film is intended to replace PTFE-coated glass fabric used in heat sealers, while SGP5 tape is intended to replace PTFE glass tapes.

Norgard® SGP Heat Seal Release Film
Norgard® SGP is a high-temperature release film intended to replace PTFE-coated glass fabric used in heat sealers. It provides a nonstick surface and electrically insulates the heat seal surface. SGP is the film option for applications that do not require adhesive backing.
Norgard® SGP5 Heat Seal Tape
Norgard® SGP5 is a high-temperature release film with silicone adhesive intended to replace PTFE glass tapes used in heat sealers. It provides an adhesive-backed release surface and is supplied with an easy-removal liner.
