About Working Boards
RAKU® TOOL Working Boards (WB) are dense and strong combining high quality with excellent mechanical properties. They require relatively slow machining speeds due to their high density.
Length, width, thickness, and diameter tolerances vary by size, by manufacturer, brand, and grade.
Rampf® Raku® Tool Working Board Options
RAKU® TOOL WB-0801 (gray, 50 lbs/ft3)– has a fine surface structure, good dimensional stability and compressive and flexural strength. WB-0801 offers high HDT and very low CTE. It is perfect for master models, cubing models, tooling jigs and fixtures, and vacuum forming tools.
RAKU® TOOL WB-1405 (red, 87.5 lbs/ft3)– has a dense surface structure, good dimensional stability, and good abrasion resistance and impact strength. It is very easy to machine. WB-1405 works well for pattern plates and core boxes, machined negatives and positives, models, molds and tools, and hammer forms.
