Modeling Boards
Medium strength modeling boards for patterns/models with an attractive balance of density and machining speed
About Modeling Boards
RAKU® TOOL Modeling Boards (MB) are useful in numerous applications including patterns, master models, and presentation models. These are our most popular boards, offering an attractive balance of medium strength, density, machining speed, and cost. They have an exceptionally fine cell structure which results in a superior surface, compared to other boards of equal density. The boards are resistant to attack by parting agents and can be easily bonded together with a variety of adhesives. RAKU® TOOL modeling boards exhibit excellent consistency and superb dimensional stability.
Length, width, thickness, and diameter tolerances vary by size, by manufacturer, brand, and grade.
Rampf® Raku® Tool Modeling Board Options
RAKU® TOOL MB-0600 (brown, 37.5 lbs/ft3)– has a fine surface structure, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and good dimensional stability. It is easily shaped and machined. MB-0600 is perfect for master models, cubing models, and patterns.
RAKU® TOOL MB-0670 (brown, 41.8 lbs/ft3)– has a fine surface structure, low coefficient of thermal expansion, and good dimensional stability. It is easily shaped and machined. MB-0670 can be used for master & cubing models, and patterns.
RAKU® TOOL MB-0720 (brown, 45.0 lbs/ft3)– offers a fine surface structure, low coefficient of thermal expansion, good dimensional stability, and good compressive and flexural strength. MB-0720 can be used for master models, cubing models, and patterns.
