Imidized Materials

High temperature, bearing grade materials with best physical properties above 500ºF

General Characteristics of Imidized Materials

  • Best physical properties above 500ºF
  • Best temperature resistance
  • High temperature, high load bearing and wear capabilities (bearing grades)
  • Good chemical resistance

Imidized materials are high performance plastics with a high service temperature. These can be considered for applications with an approximate maximum temperature of 500°F. Selecting a plastic material for use in a high temperature environment requires careful review of material properties data.
