Imidized Materials
High temperature, bearing grade materials with best physical properties above 500ºF
General Characteristics of Imidized Materials
- Best physical properties above 500ºF
- Best temperature resistance
- High temperature, high load bearing and wear capabilities (bearing grades)
- Good chemical resistance
Imidized materials are high performance plastics with a high service temperature. These can be considered for applications with an approximate maximum temperature of 500°F. Selecting a plastic material for use in a high temperature environment requires careful review of material properties data.
