Curbell Plastics Acquires Interstate Advanced Materials, Expanding Western U.S. Reach and Capabilities

Orchard Park, N.Y., April 14, 2026 – Curbell Plastics, Inc. today announced that it has acquired Interstate Advanced Materials, a nationwide distributor of plastics and composite materials.

The acquisition expands Curbell’s geographic footprint, particularly in the western United States, and strengthens its ability to serve customers across a broader range of industries. With the addition of nine Interstate locations and more than 150 employees, Curbell Plastics will now operate a 31-location nationwide distribution network.

Interstate Advanced Materials brings a well-established team with deep customer relationships and strong regional market knowledge. Key leaders and team members will continue with the business, supporting a smooth transition and ongoing growth.

“Interstate is a strong strategic fit for Curbell,” said Gerry Helbig, President of Curbell Plastics. “This acquisition significantly increases our western U.S. presence, expands our reach in important markets, and brings together two organizations with aligned values and a shared commitment to customer success.”

Interstate Advanced Materials will operate as a Curbell Plastics company. Customers will continue working with their existing contacts, and day-to-day operations will remain consistent.

Over time, customers will benefit from the combined strengths of both organizations, including broader product access, expanded technical support, and increased nationwide capabilities.

“Curbell is the right long-term owner for Interstate,” said Cole Klokkevold, CEO of Interstate Advanced Materials. “They share our values as a family-owned business and our commitment to taking care of customers and employees. I am confident our team and our customers are in good hands for the future.”
