A manufacturer of automobile windows was having problems with the metal rods in their checking fixtures scratching windows during inspection. The quality engineer contacted Curbell for help finding a suitable plastic material for the fixtures.
Plastic Material Solution Replaces Problematic Metal Parts
Curbell’s salesperson suggested that they evaluate blue cast nylon for the application. The nylon rods had the strength and dimensional stability required for the fixtures while still being soft enough not to scratch the glass.
