UHMW Tapes
Abrasion resistant, low coefficient of friction tapes—excellent for bearing or wear surface
UHMW tapes consist of an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene film coated with a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. They exhibit excellent abrasion resistance and a low coefficient of friction, making them an excellent bearing or wear surface. UHMW tapes are used anywhere you need a frictionless or nonstick surface such as guide rails to reduce noise levels in glass bottling plants or desk drawers to provide smooth, friction free drawer movement.

UHMW TAPE OPTIONS
CHR® 2302-5R (5 mil)/CHR® 2302-10R (10 mil)/CHR® 2302-20R (20mil)– can be used to provide an abrasion resistant, anti-stick, anti-friction surface at temperatures up to 225°F. This tape is frequently used to line chutes and conveyors. The product is often applied to guide rails to reduce noise levels in glass bottling plants. It is also used to replace desk drawer bearings, and to provide silky smooth, friction free drawer movement. 2302 exhibits excellent abrasion resistance and low coefficient of friction, making it an excellent protection for surfaces or bearings that experience heavy wear. It is more economical than PTFE tapes. It is supplied with a blue poly-film inter-liner which protects the adhesive, facilitates die cutting, and peels off easily. Tapes come with a release liner.
Tech Tip– The high temperature, high tack acrylic adhesive adheres readily to most dry, clean surfaces—firmly anchoring the product in place.
