PTFE Fabrics
Heat sealing fabrics with excellent release surfaces, electrical properties, chemical and temperature resistance
PTFE fabrics, or heat sealing fabrics, consist of a woven fiberglass and are coated with a PTFE resin. They are extremely resistant to high temperatures, contain outstanding electrical properties, have excellent release surfaces and superior chemical resistance.
PTFE fabrics come in a variety of grades such as standard grade, premium grade, mechanical grade, porous grade, anti-static grade, and tear and crease resistant grade.

PTFE FABRIC OPTIONS
7038, 7058, 7108, and 7148 Standard Grade PTFE Fabrics– are used in a wide range of applications due to their combination of smooth PTFE surface with superior non-stick properties, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability.
Common applications for standard grade PTFE fabrics include:
- Release surface on heat-sealing/packaging machines
- Baking and food processing
- Gaskets
- Heat shrink tunnel curtains
- Composite molding/curing
- Liners for chemical tanks
7069 Premium Grade PTFE Fabric– offers optimum release and durability in harsh environments. Applications include reusable pan liners for cooking and baking, laminate separator sheets, tortilla and pizza crust belts, heat sealing and applications where fabric weave impression is undesirable.
Benefits of premium grade PTFE fabric:
- Highest PTFE-to-substrate ratio
- Designed for extreme environments where superior release and extended life are critical
- Excellent chemical resistance and electrical strength
OTHER PTFE FABRIC GRADES AVAILABLE:
Mechanical grade PTFE fabric– Mechanical grade PTFE fabric has a special treated glass thread that is required for various mechanical low-load applications.
Anti-static grade PTFE fabric– Anti-static grade PTFE fabric provides an anti-static surface with electrically conductive characteristics.
Porous grade PTFE fabric– Porous grade PTFE fabric has a porosity range from breathing up to 1/4 inch mesh and is used to allow escape of gases and air.
Tear and Crease resistant grade PTFE fabric– Tear and crease resistant grade PTFE fabric can withstand heavy usage and resists tearing, folding, and creasing.
Tech Tip– PTFE coated fabrics feature a smooth surface and commonly used for a release surface for heat-sealing & food processing. Because of the chemical resistance and high heat properties of PTFE fabrics they are also commonly used in gasket manufacturing, heat shrink tunnels or composite molding/curing.
