LDPE (low density polyethylene) is a soft, pliable, lightweight plastic material. It is noted for its low temperature flexibility, toughness, and corrosion resistance. It is not suited for applications where stiffness, high temperature resistance and structural strength are required. LDPE has good chemical and impact resistance and is easy to fabricate and form. LDPE is widely used for orthotics and prosthetics and is available in several material options. Get a quote or shop for LDPE. For a glossary of terms, see our Plastic Properties Descriptions.
