CAB Properties

Physical, mechanical, thermal, electrical, and optical properties of CAB

CAB (cellulose acetate butyrate) sheet (also known as Uvex®) is a soft and flexible clear, easy to form plastic with excellent drape and blister forming characteristics. It is often used for rigid check sockets in the prosthetic industry.

CAB sheet offers UV resistance making it a good option for outdoor applications. It is widely used for face masks for injury protection and certain sports. Please ask your Curbell Plastics representative for more specific information about an individual brand.
