The presentation, "It's Not Just a "Marketing Project": Getting the Entire Organization On-Board with Digital" was part of a three-day conference on digital strategies geared toward distribution and manufacturing professionals. The two Curbell Plastics executives shared a case study on the introduction of Curbell Plastics’ new digital strategy that involved a new website and new approach to providing on-line purchasing opportunities for customers. An integral part of the introduction was ensuring that the entire organization, especially sales and customer service professionals were engaged and enthusiastic about a deeper focus on e-commerce in order to be successful. The pair outlined the intensive internal marketing campaign at Curbell Plastics that helped to educate and engage their employees on the new strategy before it was rolled out to customers.

According to Schiedel, “Curbell Plastics has always been focused on our customers. As we learned more about their on-line needs it became clear that we had to offer a more robust online experience. We knew that it would involve educating our customer-facing teams to adopt and own the new website. We focused heavily on an internal campaign before our formal launch. Their buy-in and enthusiasm allowed us to have a successful roll out that supported a great online and offline customer experience.”

Curbell Plastics internal multi-touch campaign ran five months prior to launching the new e-commerce site in January 2016. The website offers a full catalogue of products as features designed to connect the customer with expertise from Curbell Plastics for help on customized solutions.
