Environmental Excellence

The 2018 IAPD convention marked the fourth consecutive year the organization honored Curbell for leading by example in environmental responsibility, this time giving it the sole Best Overall Program distinction among all recipients of the Environmental Excellence Awards. Curbell Plastics received the top award for scoring the highest point total in the IAPD Environmental Committee’s selection process — with Curbell’s recycling practices, employee education program and zero-landfill status for the company’s headquarters contributing to its score. Before taking Best Overall Program this year, Curbell was the only company to win a Gold Level Environmental Excellence Award three years in a row, after earning the recognition in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

A Plastics Education Innovator

For the third consecutive year, Curbell Plastics earned a top honor in the IAPD’s Education Circle of Champions — again scoring a Gold Award that recognizes companies for the highest level of commitment to continuing plastics education and sales training. One of only eight Gold Award recipients nationwide, Curbell Plastics scored in the highest level both for its use of IAPD training resources as well as for its extensive and continually evolving internal training programs, which reflect the company’s core values and its emphasis on developing the plastics leaders of tomorrow.

“The Curbell Plastics team is honored to be recognized by IAPD and our industry peers in all of these categories,” DelGado said. “With the IAPD’s emphasis on learning through the IAPD University, as well as promoting sound environmental practices through its GreenScene program, there are so many values held in common between our company and the IAPD. We’re proud to be a part of that and to help make a difference for the association and the industry.”
