Curbell Plastics first established itself in the Chicago area when it acquired O&P Enterprises in 2014, expanding its footprint in the orthotics and prosthetics market. While the new location will initially focus on its O&P business, it is expected to service other industries as well. According to Gerry Helbig, President of Curbell Plastics, “Waukegan offers Curbell Plastics a strategic location in the Midwest, serving both Chicago and Milwaukee. It is part of our larger plan for continued growth and it is a critical location for both our O&P business and our industrial plastics sales operations.”

The Waukegan facility will provide Curbell Plastics with a distribution gateway to its Western US (Colorado, Arizona, California, Washington) locations. A total of six employees will work out of the new location with more planned as operations grow. The larger warehouse allows for increased inventory and the ability to store customer specific materials. A new CNC panel saw will provide additional cutting capabilities to fulfill custom material requirements for our customers.

Curbell Plastics, Inc. strategy of investing for the long term and focusing on customer needs has led the organization to grow from a small machine shop to one of the nation’s leading suppliers of plastic materials serving commercial and industrial customers since 1942. Curbell not only supplies plastic materials in nearly every form for thousands of commercial businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and government agencies but also provides innovative services, creative problem solving, and next-day delivery. Curbell Plastics has ISO 9001 certification for nine of their locations and corporate headquarters, ITAR and EAR compliance, and their Phoenix, Arizona location is AS9120 certified. A subsidiary of Curbell, Inc., Curbell Plastics is a privately held company with a 75-year history headquartered in Orchard Park, New York.
