Lauren Kane, Sales Assistant in the Curbell Plastics Virginia location, has more than 10 years of experience in performance plastics distribution. She is well known to many customers as their go-to point of contact for anything they need at Curbell, from their initial welcome and onboarding through order entry, expediting, returns, credits, and much more. She also works tirelessly to help ensure inventory for key customers is in stock at all times, and their orders are entered accurately and shipped promptly.
Lauren takes pride in the strong relationships she has built with customers in a broad range of industries, including machine shops, packaging and conveying machinery manufacturers, and refrigeration providers. “Many customers have become friends of mine,” she says. “I’m proud that they feel comfortable contacting me for assistance and trust that I can be the one to help resolve any problem that may arise.”
Here at Curbell, Lauren’s colleagues count on her just as much, whether to solve a tricky issue or to provide assistance wherever needed. Reflecting the high standing of learning among Curbell’s core values, she is an SAP trainer for new employees during their onboarding.
Before joining Curbell Plastics, Lauren was a site agent in a model home for a custom home builder. There she developed her deep appreciation for the extraordinary value that superior customer service and substantive expertise can bring to what might otherwise be a complex and daunting buying process.
In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends. With children heavily involved in sports, Lauren can always be found at any one of their football, baseball, or lacrosse games. Weekend trips to the river and Kings Dominion also keep her very busy.
A Partner in Your Success
“Treat people the way you would like them to treat you,” Lauren says when asked for a few words that illustrate her approach to work and life. “Customers make a company successful.”
Lauren understands how profoundly customers depend on her to help them get the plastic they need, when they need it. At times, that can put her in a position to resolve an issue between a customer and a supplier. “It can be very challenging,” she says, “but being the problem solver and helping to provide a quick solution for a customer is rewarding!”
