David Dennemann, Senior Outside Sales Representative at the Curbell Plastics San Diego location, has more than six years of experience helping West Coast companies achieve greater value and efficiency through the use of performance plastics.
He has significant expertise in industries like biotechnology, medical care, marine construction, and industrial equipment manufacturing. Customers throughout the San Diego metropolitan area and into Mexico rely on Dave’s experience with plastic part fabrication and the application of various plastic sheet, rod, and tube materials for a wide range of technical and industrial endeavors.
To cite just a few examples, Dave works closely with chemical and research-focused companies that need custom fabricated parts such as acrylic chambers; marine construction that uses polyethylene fabricated parts for dock fendering and naval applications; and medical companies that utilize KYDEX® Thermoplastic Sheet, acrylic, and polycarbonate for amorphous testing and other applications.
Dave began his career at Curbell Plastics’ Seattle branch in 2013. He then headed south down I-5 to San Diego in 2016, when the top-five plastics distributor opened for business there through the acquisition of the well-established distribution and fabrication shop M&M Plastics. Since moving to San Diego, Dave embarked on teaching himself the Spanish language to facilitate even stronger relationships and communications with Curbell customers.
An explorer at heart and a lifelong athlete, Dave enjoys discovering all that his new home of San Diego has to offer and playing baseball in a high-level men’s league.
A Partner in Your Success
Virtually his entire professional career has been with Curbell, where Dave found a company culture that welcomes his relationship-focused approach to sales and customer service.
“I’m always asking questions, and listening deeply to understand what makes a customer tick,” Dave says. “What are their pains? How can Curbell help simplify or improve a process? I want to know our customers, their overall goals, and their perspectives. Understanding from the top down what the customer wants to accomplish leads to better results — plus a healthier, more collaborative relationship.”
Dave stresses the importance of being straightforward with customers, and he consistently strives to exceed their expectations. He makes no false promises or unrealistic guarantees, and he values building partnerships based on trust. “It’s your empathy, your understanding, and your ability to meet them on a level that is relatable and sincere,” Dave adds. “Customers in the San Diego region value true character and integrity. I feel right at home in the business community, and I’m proud to have built many solid business relationships and friendships here.”
