Overview
Fluted twin wall corrugated plastic sheet is manufactured from a co-polymer polypropylene resin.
Fluted boards are an excellent choice for signage applications that will be exposed to moisture due to its availability in a wide range of colors and thicknesses.
Fluted boards are lightweight, easy to fabricate, and receptive to paints, inks, and pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) backed materials.

| What is Corona Treatment |
Corona treating increases the surface tension of most plastic materials. The result after corona treatment is a surface that
is unchanged to the naked eye, but is much more receptive to inks, coatings, and adhesives. The material being treated is exposed to an electrical discharge,
or corona. When the ions bombard the material surface the following changes occur: |
- Craters, which are so small that they are invisible to the eye, are molten into the
surface area of the material and therefore increase the bonding ability to other materials
- The bombardment of high-energy particles cause the long stringed polymer chains on the material surface
to rupture. The resulting unstable structures readily accept permanent chemical bonds to other materials.
|
| Corona treatment will degrade over time; however how long it lasts is not really known for sure.
It is recommended that when a material is stored that it remain stretch wrapped until ready for use.
