Overview Stereolithography is a common rapid manufacturing and rapid prototyping technology for producing parts with high accuracy and good surface finish.

Stereolithography (SLA) resins are liquid UV-curable photopolymers used in this process.

DSM Somos has developed a full line of ProtoFunctional® rapid prototyping materials that replicate the performance parameters of production materials, saving both time and money in new product development.

From thermoplastic elastomers to polyethylene, polypropylene and ABS, DSM Somos has ProtoFunctional solutions for multiple applications including:

  • Functional models
  • Fit/ssembly
  • General purpose
  • Investment casting
  • Snap fit
  • Injection molding/direct tooling
  • Wind tunnel testing
