Overview DuPont™ Vespel® SCP-5050 is a new and innovative polyimide composition.

Vespel® SCP-5050 improves high temperature and wear resistance compared to conventional polyimides allowing replacement of metal and graphite in more applications.

The Vespel® SCP-5050 proprietary composition is designed to offer high stiffness and a low coeffecient of thermal expansion (CTE).

Use of Vespel® SCP-5050 enables:

  • More efficient and durable systems
  • Increased performance
  • Reduced maintenance costs

Vespel® SCP-5050 Standard Sizes

SHEET 2"x4"x38"
ROD diameter 0.25" - 2.75"
Only by 9" & 36" length
  • Length, width, thickness, and diameter tolerances vary by size
  • Custom sizes available upon request
  • Vespel® is not available as a film
